Kobori Sensei
6th Dan, Jodan, MKF’s Komon (Advisor and Instructional Representative)
Midland Ki Federation and Houston Ki-Aikido are pleased to host Tomonori Kobori Sensei – Shihan, Shinshin Toitsu Aikido Kai and head instructor of HQ Dojo in Tokyo – for a seminar in Sugar Land, Texas, May 21-24, 2026.
This will be Kobori Sensei’s second in-person U.S. seminar for MKF members as our Komon - Advisor and Instructional Representative.
Kobori Sensei, Joden and 6th Dan, has been a student of Shinshin Toitsu Aikido (Ki-Aikido) and Shinichi Tohei Sensei for more than 20 years. After gaining several year’s experience as an ”uchideshi” (apprentice), Mr. Kobori became an exclusive instructor of Shinshin Toitsu Aikido Kai. He currently teaches at Tokyo, and in Tochigi, and also provides seminars to business professionals and professional athletes.
After the 2023 retirement of Koichi Kashiwaya Sensei as Chief Instructor of Midland Ki Federation, Shinichi Tohei Sensei appointed Mr. Kobori as MKF’s Komon (Advisor and Instructional Representative), to provide MKF Dojo with direct instruction.
